Since the declaration of pandemic by COVID-19 by the World Health Organization in March 2020, UNAIDS has resolutely joined global, regional and local efforts to address this unprecedented situation, deploying multiple resources and developing concrete initiatives to protect, support and mitigate the effects of this pandemic from its mandate as Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS and based on its vast experience of working in coordination with all sectors. On the occasion of the first anniversary of the declaration of the pandemic by COVID-19, this report presents a good part of the initiatives and activities implemented and still in process of execution.
